Money raised for NAACP

EAST LONGMEADOW - On June 4, Shelburne Falls Coffee Roasters donated the proceeds from sales from online and in-store purchases to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. In a statement on social media, the cafe said “We are heartbroken, but we are not silent, nor are we powerless. We have been working to research the most meaningful ways that we can contribute to the Black Lives Matter movement during this time and in the future. To start, Shelburne Falls Coffee Roasters will be donated a portion of sales (both from our brick & mortar locations, and from our online store on Thursday, June 4th to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund.”

The Western Massachusetts-based coffee shop, which has locations in Shelburne Falls, Greenfield, Northampton, Hadley, Easthampton and East Longmeadow, raised a total of $1,000 in donations for the organization.
