EAST LONGMEADOW – Area residents will have to travel just a little further to get their fresh juice fix this spring. My Main Squeeze is moving to 165 Shaker Rd. in East Longmeadow.

“We’ve outgrown the space,” said owner Cassandra Cerasuolo of their current location at 48 Shaker Rd. The building that has housed the juice bar for six years is roughly 1,000 square feet. The new location is 2,300 square feet, more than doubling the space for the business.

Cerasuolo plans to use that space to expand the kitchen area, which will allow My Main Squeeze the opportunity to expand its menu. She said she would be offering “more foodish items,” including bringing back a self-serve salad bar that had to be removed from the current storefront due to pandemic restrictions.

COVID–19 has required the business to adapt. “Things have slowed down. The fall was slow, but it’s picked up,” Cerasuolo said. Though the business had to curtail its hours due to a loss of staff during the pandemic, she said they are now open 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and those hours will likely continue after the move.

“Pre-COVID, last summer we were extremely busy. We had a catering side that was picking up. We were doing three farmers’ markets. We’ll be able to get back to that once COVID is over.”  In the meantime, Cerasuolo has begun doing on-site smoothie bars and has staged them at Yankee Candle, Treehouse Brewing and Amherst College.

“There’s always room to expand and grow and see what works,” Cerasuolo told Reminder Publishing.

The future home of My Main Squeeze is located on East Longmeadow’s bike path. Cerasuolo is hoping the location will increase foot traffic and visibility. The larger shop will give the juice bar a seating area that will fit about 12 customers at a time. She is also considering outdoor seating in a wood-chipped portion of the property. The new location also has a dedicated parking lot, an amenity Cerasuolo said she is looking forward to having.

The move has already been announced on My Main Squeeze’s Instagram page, but Cerasuolo said the rough timeline for opening will be late March or early April.
