EAST LONGMEADOW – The Norcross House is hosting their annual Wreath and Craft Fair on Nov. 18, and welcomes the community to purchase quality goods made by local craftsmen, with proceeds going toward the Norcross House.

Fifteen years ago the Norcross House was saved from demolition, and now is left to the Friends of the Norcross House as well as the Board of Directors to keep the house solvent.

“The Wreath and Craft Fair has been an annual fundraiser with proceeds going to pay expenses and for ongoing projects associated with a historic house.  Present needs include replacement of the driveway, front porch and deck and painting of the carriage house floor,” Board President Joan Noonan shared.

Aside from holiday wreaths, wooden items such as cutting boards will be sold by Dick Griffith, hand stitched items are for sale by Theresa Goodrich, and cookies by Why Cookies will be up for purchase.  Hand painted birdhouses, antique sleds, Christmas door arrangements and cards and calendars will also be sold at the event.  The fair’s flyer notes there will also be kissing balls, roping and cemetery boxes for sale.

“Large bows are included with wreaths or can be purchased separately.  There are wreath in three sizes, 12, 14 and 16 inch.  Wreaths have been purchased from local vendors and are from Maine and Canada,” Noonan said.

Along with the goods, cider and coffee will be served.  Tours of the Norcross House are available upon request.

The Annual Wreath and Craft Fair will take place on Nov. 18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Norcross House, at 89 Maple St. in East Longmeadow.
