Planning Board reccomends re-zoning to Town Council

The East Longmeadow Planning Board voted to reccomend to the Town Council that 330 Chestnut. St. be re-zoned to a Mixed Use area on the zoning map.

EAST LONGMEADOW – The East Longmeadow Planning Board met on Jan. 2 and voted to recommend to the Town Council that 330 Chestnut St. assessed as parcel 18-38-0 be re-zoned as mixed use on the zoning map.

The re-zoning of 330 Chestnut street will allow for the property to be redevolped as a mixture of market rate apartments and condominiums with co-located retail establishments. The parcel of land recommended is 40.35 acres.

Moving forward, the Town Council will host a public hearing for the zoning map amendment to re-zone parcel 18-38-0 to a Mixed Use District.
