EAST LONGMEADOW – St. Paul Lutheran Church is hosting their first-ever 4th Fest. The church welcomes the community to enjoy a series of activities for all ages before and during East Longmeadow’s Fourth of July parade.

Pastor Anne Strickert and Kelly Phillips are event coordinators for the 4th Fest. According to information provided by St. Paul Sunday School Superintendent and member of the 4th Fest team Connie Sessler, there will be a series of activities happening at the church that day.

“We’ll be offering free parking, clean restrooms, air conditioning, family fun and games, hot dogs, treats, cold water, and much more,” Sessler noted.

The church has invited local businesses to set up shop on the church lawn at no cost. There will be live music presented by Interlude with John and Barb Govoni.

For activities, there will be face painting by Phim, free family Zumba with Kelly Phillips of KP-Fit, and a chance to relax with Escape Therapeutic Massage.  East Longmeadow’s Apple Place will be offering pastries and Mr. Whippy is selling ice cream.

“We are simply providing the space to give these businesses the opportunity to operate during the parade, knowing that their various treats and services will make the day more enjoyable for all who attend,” Sessler told Reminder Publications.

While there is no charge for parking or for games and crafts, the vendors will charge for their products and services.

The St. Paul Lutheran Church is located at 181 Elm St. The event begins at 9 a.m. and continues through the morning until the end of the parade.
