Ludlow honors those who lost their lives during military service

LUDLOW — On May 29, hundreds of members of the community gathered on the side of the streets to watch multiple organizations from around town march in the annual Memorial Day parade. Groups included the boy scouts, Ludlow Senior Center, Ludlow Public Schools atheltics and bands, members from Sgt. Josuha D. Desforges Post 3236, Police and Fire departments, Ludlow 250th Committee and more. The parade ended at the Veterans Memorial on East Street where a ceremony was hosted to honor those who lost their lives during military service. The ceremony capped off a three-day rememberance weekend that included a wreath laing ceremony on May 26 and candelight vigil to read the names of the fallen on May 28.
