Palmer announces candidates for upcoming town election

PALMER – The Palmer town election is set to take place on June 14.
Town Clerk Susan Coache said the town has two polling locations: Precinct 2 and 3 at St. Thomas Parish Center, 1076 Thorndike St.; and Precinct 1 and 4 at St. Peter and Paul Parish, 2267 Main St. in Three Rivers. The polls will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Coache said the candidate list has been finalized.

“There are seats open for two councilor at large positions,” said Coache. One of the openings is for a two-year term and the other opening is for a three-year term. There are three candidates running for the two-year term, including John M. Comerford, Lucas George McDiarmid and Mark J. Caci. The two candidates running for the three-year terms are Jessica R. Sizer and Timothy James Cienciwa.

Incumbent Matthew J. Lemieux is running unopposed for another three-year term as District 4 councilor.

Coache said there are two seats open for three-year terms on the Planning Board. The two candidates running for these seats are incumbents Michael Marciniec and Michael C. Dee.

Lastly, incumbents Erica Nadeau and Sandra J. Noonan are running for three-year terms on the School Committee.
