Pathfinder SC welcomes new member, reorganizes board

PALMER – Following the Nov. 8 election, R. Keith Valley is the newest member to join the Pathfinder School Committee, representing the town of Monson.

With the addition of a new member, the School Committee reorganized their board. Julie Quink, current chair from Hardwick, was nominated for the seat again. Quink received unanimous approval to maintain her role.

David Droz, current vice chair from Palmer, was also nominated again. A motion was made, seconded and unanimously approved to appoint Droz as the vice chair.

Lastly, Lorraine F. Alves, current secretary from Belchertown, was nominated and received unanimous approval to maintain her seat.

All the officers will serve for the next two years.

Career night

On Dec. 7, Pathfinder will be hosting a career night. Superintendent Eric Duda said all students are encouraged to attend and bring their families who might be interested in touring the school. He noted that a complimentary dinner will be offered. The event will begin at 6 p.m.
