SPRINGFIELD – Christmas cheer was everpresent at the Springfield Museums’ lighting of the Quadrangle on Nov. 26. The event, which returned to operations after last year’s cancellation, began with speeches from Springfield Museums President Kay Simpson and Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno. Both were joined by a few familiar holiday staples, with Santa Claus arriving to jumpstart the holiday season. The festive holiday celebration also featured entertainment by Vinny the Bubble Guy and the “Under the Sea” gingerbread exhibit inside of the Springfield Science Museum. “This year, my heart is so warmed by each and everyone of us being able to get together to celebrate,” said Sarno.
