WESTFIELD – Between trampolines, basketball courts, and more, Funz Trampoline Park offers fun for the whole family after opening on Oct. 15.

Aaron Torres, the assistant manager at the park, said it was difficult to open the park as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“It was semi-difficult, getting everything to follow all of the COVID procedures was one of the hardest things here, along with training the staff to follow those. Getting the word out has been difficult because a lot of families don’t want to come to a trampoline park during a pandemic,” he said.

After its first weekend in business, Torres said the reception has already been good.

“It’s been okay, obviously we’re hoping for more. The weekend was pretty good, and we’ve been booking birthday parties left and right. During the week it fluctuates because the wording is not out there that we are open,” he said.

While it is a trampoline park, he said there are many activities open to everyone at the park.

“We have a variety of activities, we’re over 52,000 square feet so we have super jump, two dodgeball courts, a zipline, a LEGO land, playgrounds, a ninja course, a toddler court, soccer darts, two basketball courts, arcades, we also have an open jump, we have a lot of things to do,” he said.

Once it hits 6 p.m. every night, Torres said the regular lights go down and the glow lights turn on.

The prices are broken down into tiers based on height. For children under 42 inches it starts at $10.50 for 60 minutes, and for general pricing it starts at $16.50 for 60 minutes. In addition to individual sessions, Torres said the party packages start at $225.

While people can come into the facility to buy tickets and sign their waivers, Torres said the park prefers that people do so online at funzwestfield.com.

Currently, Torres said the park is following strict guidelines to prevent the virus from spreading including cutting its capacity from 530 to 175 people at any given time.

“Everyone has to wear masks whether you are jumping or not, you get your temperatures checked at the door, we sanitize throughout the entire day from opening to close, we have cleaning logs that we fill out every hour,” he said.

He added that people that have been to the park already have been impressed with the cleaning standards.

Funz Trampoline Park is located at 443 E. Main St. and is open daily.
