WILBRAHAM – A new flea market will be the first event in a series of activities at Fountain Park.

The flea market, produced by resident Andrew Kuppermann, will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 21. Admission will be $5.

Kuppermann told Reminder Publications the flea market would be like “almost going to an outdoor mall. People should expect an interesting variety.”

Right now Kuppermann expects more than 100 vendors. Additional vendors can register for a spot online at www.explorefountainpark.com, he added.

Kuppermann is planning for a second flea market for Sept. 21.

The market is part of a series of events this summer at the park, he explained. There will be a concert series on Thursdays starting June 15 through July 20 at 6:30 p.m. The acts, in order of appearance, are Cartells & Bill Holloman, The Jeff Holmes Big Band with Dawning Holmes on Vocals, Trailer Trash, Savage Brothers Band, Studio 2 and Fever.

The Peach Blossom Festival will be June 17 from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and the Town Picnic and Car Show will be July 22 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

A $25 parking pass gives an individual admission to all of the events, He explained. The pass is available for sale at the Village Sore Café, Krazy Jakes and Rice Fruit Farm.
