Holy Fair returns to Wilbraham United Church

WILBRAHAM – For nearly 30 years, the annual Holly Fair hosted at Wilbraham United Church has been delighting thousands of visitors with a one-of-a-kind shopping experience.

The Holly fair features over 80 “carefully chosen” vendors from all over New England. The vendors arrive at Wilbraham United and set up shop within the church to sell their wares. The church, which has three different floors, will be filled with crafters, painters, photographers and more on Dec. 14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Vendors of various mediums will be at the Holly Fair. According to Holly Fair Co-Chair Tammy Trudeau, there will be the following types of items for sale: pottery, art work, artisanal food, pet items, health and beauty, jewelry, sewn and knit items, clothing, woodwork, accessories, home décor and holiday decorations. There also is a “Holly Café,” which features various goodies, music and the popular “cookie walk.”

The cookie walk consists of thousands of holiday cookies “baked with love” by members of the church are offered for sale. For $25, patrons can fill a sizeable box of the cookies they select.

“This is a fundraiser for our church and the missions we support,” Trudeau stated. “But more than that, it is a special time when everyone in the church comes together to provide a really nice community event.”

At last years event alone, over 1,500 people stepped foot in Wilbraham United Church to do some holiday shopping. The event is free, and open to the public.
