We are hometown news

Exciting times

April 16, 2019 |

Wonderful things are taking place in the Chicopee, Holyoke, Springfield area that go unreported. An increasing number of people in the Pioneer Valley have developed a mind of their own and no longer look up to the mainstream media for inspiration and marching orders.

A case in point: The national media is quick to give voice to certain members of the U.S. House of Representatives who seek to force President Trump to release his personal financial statements. Many of my friends see this as a ploy to remove President Trump before he investigates them. Unfortunately, some members of the U.S. House of Representatives have somehow accumulated millions of dollars on a $170,000 annual salary. It is understandable why they are getting nervous and desperate.

Possibly the very best news taking place below the surface (I can see it here in the Pioneer Valley) is the fact that many people are seeking out alternative news sources because they detect an anti-Trump psychosis among those in the mainstream media. “Trump can’t be that bad” – “Surely, our President must have done ONE THING positive that is worth reporting” are some of the
expressions I hear among friends and family.

It seems that people in the main stream media have vastly overplayed their maniacal hatred for our president. This (without question) has led to an awakening among many in the Chicopee, Holyoke, Springfield area who no longer tap their toes to jingle of the mainstream media. We live in exciting times.
