Fake President

May 1, 2019 |

I am no longer surprised by anything that the “Teflon Don” does or says and I certainly do not see any humor in the nonsense and “fake news” that seems to be a major part of what he believes that the leader of this country should represent. I thought I was hearing things when I watched a video of him professing to be a “student of history” in which he referenced Andrew Jackson’s thoughts about the Civil War. The fact that Jackson died sixteen years prior to the Civil War apparently was not of any importance to Mr. Trump’s expertise on American History.

His major strength seems to be his penchant for adolescent and infantile name-calling, which applies to everyone who has the gall to disagree with him (i.e., Elizabeth Warren – Pocahontas, Joe Biden – Sleepy Joe, along with all of the name-calling he directed at the Republicans who were competing with him for their party's nomination), in addition to his on-going demeaning comments about American institutions (FBI, CIA, security teams, etc.).

The appointment of Mr. Barr to be Mr. Trump’s lackey and chief censor for all Americans, while allegedly being a non-partisan Attorney General rather than Mr. Trump’s personal lawyer, is another example of his disdain for what this country used to represent prior to his reign as King Donald. His goal seems to be to become a leader in the format of Putin and Kim – in other words a “dictator” who has no regard for any existing laws or policies that exist. I can’t imagine what it must be like to never be wrong about anything he does or says. “Reality” and “Truth” are clearly non-existent in his world. He is definitely a “fake president.”
