I went to the East Longmeadow post office this morning to pick up a box in which I was going to mail some candy, cookies etc. to a friend who is a major in the Army serving now in Afghanistan. The clerk began to give me a list of things I could not send. Anything with pork related products was not allowed. This is according to the Afghan government. Our women and men are there putting their lives on the line daily and now the Afghanis are telling us what we can and what we can’t send to support them during these terrible times.

As a Vietnam veteran  I was disgusted by this!
