O'Connor Adoption Center spaghetti Dinner "HUGE success!"
The Thomas J. O'Connor Adoption Center spaghetti dinner on April 16 was a HUGE success! Thank you to everyone who attended. We hope you had a great time.
There was a packed house on a beautiful evening as approximately 300 people turned out for a spaghetti dinner at the Holyoke Lodge of Elks. The TJO Foundation reaped huge benefits from the dinner. Nearly $4,000 was raised for the animals at TJO. Our massive three foot cake was completely gone by the end of the evening, not to mention loads of salad, garlic bread and 60 pounds of pasta!
We couldn't have done it without you!
Special thanks to many of our donors: Big Y, Ted Hebert for the Red Sox tickets, John Murray for the flat-screen television, B.J.'s, Pat Kelley from Rock 102 WAQY for emceeing the event, and Jerry Marchand and his celtic harp for the beautiful music during dinner.
Thank you to Beth Brogle, Tammy Howe, Sue Demaris and Patty Desroches...our board members and special events coordinators extraordinaire!
Thanks to our volunteers...nearly every ounce of food was donated by our volunteers for the dinner, and then they SERVED the dinner! Not only do our volunteers give their time to our animals, they give their heart and soul and quite often, their money. We can't thank you enough for your constant dedication and inspiration. A huge thank you to the Reminder for advertising this event.
