Please attend meeting

July 26, 2018 |

This construction has been made possible by your vote to approve Article 10 at the Special Town Meeting on November 2017.

Article 10: “To see if the town will vote to accept the provisions of Massachusetts General law Chapter 40 Section Three with the additional provisions allowed by the statute to have any balance remaining in the cell phone rental account at the close of a fiscal year remain in the account and may be expended for the upkeep and maintenance of any facility under control of the Department of Public Works, or take any other action relative thereto.

“Acceptance of this statue is intended  to designate for the lease/rental income received by the town from the lease/rental of space for the cell tower located adjacent to the Blinn tennis courts to be used specifically for the maintenance of town properties and facilties, inclusive of school and Parks & Recreation, grounds.”

Why did not the town manager or one of the selectmen stand up to explain what would be the total scope of the construction? It is not simply a building for maintenance of a cell tower, but a tower, which as planned, will be 141 feet tall. It has the possibility of being up to 190 feet by code.

Think about it!

If you do not approve of this construction, be at the next Planning Board public meeting at Aug. 1 to voice your opinion.
