Shriners Hospital valuable to region’s children

July 19, 2018 |

The report of the latest expansion of services at our Springfield Shriners Hospital serves as a clear reminder of the Shriners’s continuing investment in the most valuable asset that exists for the future: children.

As always our goal is to do whatever is possible to improve the quality of life for our patients regardless of race, religion or ethnicity. It is also worth noting that no child has been or ever will be denied care at a Shriners Hospital due to their economic status.

Our hospital here in Springfield has gone from the brink of closure to the top of the list in the 22 hospitals of Shriners Hospitals system which is a credit to our incredibly dedicated and talented team of staff members and volunteers. I am in my 50th year as a Shriner and I continue to have the emotion of how fortunate I am and what an honor it is to be a Shriner just to be a part of such rewarding experiences.
