Smear campaign

Oct. 31, 2018 |

Marie Angelides has now found names that were forged just two weeks before the election. How all of a sudden would Ms. Angelides know where to look for these signatures? Anyone can sign someone else’s name without the candidate’s knowledge.

I can vouch for that personally. When we had a group called CANE and we were fighting the Northgate Plaza taking, our signatures were challenged. It was proven that the opponents to our position were signing false names so they could challenge our petitions.

I also keep reading how political operative Frank Keough is playing such an important part in the campaign due to his visits to the Superior Court Offices. Keough's presence is due to his friendship with Superior Court Clerk Laura Gentile. Does anyone really think Coakley-Rivera is in charge of visitors to her boss?

I am writing this because I detest smear campaigns and innuendo. If someone can’t run on their own merit, they shouldn’t be running and they don’t deserve your vote.
