System has been rigged

Feb. 11, 2016 |

The cost of a college education and the interest on the loan is only part of the problem. Expense was always a problem for most of us.  But now the job for which people have trained has been outpoured to some other country. And the American applicant must compete with educated immigrants for a shrinking number of vacancies.  And they may get preferential treatment over the American as refugees fleeing persecution, racial minorities etc. Neither Sanders nor Clinton want to discuss these points.

For years people have been betting on inflation. Entry level job requirements now require more education, and the salaries have gone down. There are now many applicants for a job opening. Student loans were made available to cope with the rising cost of education. The plan was that wages would raise. The graduate would then get a better job and pay off the loan. Now the system has been rigged against Americans.

Having the interest rate lowered is nice, but it will probably be done at tax payer’s expense. The educated are now making up no small part of the unemployed. No one has answered the question as to how a person without a decent job can pay off a loan.
