EAST LONGMEADOW – “Dream. Design. Build.” That is the motto Alexandra and Joseph Tremblay have used for their interior design business, Tremblay Maison, since opening in 2008. That same motto is the inspiration for their business’s second location, Twin Meadow Home.

Joseph said that, while successful, Tremblay Maison, 153 Longmeadow St., Longmeadow, is “cozy.” The couple searched for the right location to expand and showcase the brands they carry, as well as myriad design possibilities. In 2022, the Tremblays opened Twin Meadow Home at 45A Baldwin St. in East Longmeadow.

The 11,000-foot showroom features all manner of materials and products, from tiles to task lighting and flooring to furniture, as well as rugs, accessories, bedding, upholstery and art. “If it goes in your house, we sell it,” said Project Manager Tori Flick.

“We are the biggest secret in East Longmeadow,” Flick said of Twin Meadow Home. “People don’t realize how much we have to offer.”

Alexandra said opening Twin Meadow Home gave the business a proper retail space, with enough room to display full-height furniture, 40 feet of lamps and a faux floral shop, she said. Joseph added, “We sell cabinets and flooring, multiple lines for all price points.”

Using different names for the two locations “gives us two different identities,” Alexandra explained. While Tremblay Maison is a small, design-focused shop, Twin Meadow Home is a large retail and display-oriented showroom.

Service driven design

That is not to say Twin Meadow Home does not offer full-design services. The business has four project managers, an architect and multiple designers who work in both locations.

“Certainly, some people might walk in and say, ‘I want to purchase this vanity,’” Flick said, but “our more design-focused customers want Alexandra to come out to their home.” No matter what customers are interested in, Flick said the business can accommodate it. She explained the goal is not to make a sale but to help customers find the right piece for their home. “We’re very service driven,” she added.
“[Customers] can come in and get help from real designers without taking the plunge and investing a lot.” Alexandra said.

Alexandra said the business specializes in special orders. People can come into the showroom to browse, and the team can help them customize a piece they like, “really making sure the person is the driving force,” she said. Flick explained the business’s “unique” furniture program allows customers to build sofa sets, “from what foot you want to what level of fill.” Twin Meadow Home can also design a floral arrangement based on customer preferences, using any of its containers or one of a customer’s own. Alexandra added, “We offer delivery services with a white glove service.”

Alexandra said, “We service a broad area,” from Cape Cod and the Rhode Island coast to New York and Maine. Joseph added that one positive aspect to have grown out of the coronavirus pandemic is the now-ubiquitous nature of teleconference technology, which has allowed their business to serve customers farther away than ever.

No matter where the project is or which location customers choose, Alexandra said, “We want you to love your space.”
